Purchase College announced that more than 1,300 students were named to the Dean's List for the spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits. For BA and BS programs, a semester GPA of 3.50 is required. For BFA and MusB programs, a semester GPA of 3.75 is required.

Purchase College has named more than 70 students from a wide range of majors as Resident Assistants for the 2023-24 school year. Resident Assistants are instrumental in shaping a positive and inclusive living environment within the campus community.

Purchase College has named 11 students from a wide range of majors as student ambassadors for the 2023-24 school year. Student ambassadors provide campus tours for prospective students and their families and help support large campus events.

On December 7, students took part in a Startup Pitching Competition, modeled on the popular ABC show Shark Tank. The competition gave students the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to entrepreneurs and investors.

Laila Wilson, a senior in the Playwriting and Screenwriting program will gain unique firsthand experience in the television industry. Laila, who hails from Freeport, is one of only 20 students selected for a prestigious internship through the Paley Center.

The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have announced that Purchase College senior Caleb Dowden, who hails from New Orleans, has received a Fulbright U.S. Program award. Caleb Dowden, a senior dance major, will spend next year in Benin, West Africa where she will study how movement can reclaim history while linking the African Diaspora with the African Continent.
